Meet the Doctor
Dr. Lawrence Awbrey
Dr. Awbrey grew up in Woodland Hills attending the public schools from elementary school through graduation from Taft High School. Dr. Awbrey graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a B.A. in Psychology earning an overall GPA of 3.8. He went on to attend the University of Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco graduating in the top 15 percent of his class and scoring the highest score on the Dental National Boards in his graduating class with an average score in the 94 percentile. Dr. Awbrey appreciates academic excellence and has always applied this work ethic to all of the endeavors of his dental practice. It is Dr. Awbrey’s goal to not just meet your expectations, but to exceed your expectations.
With deep roots, an abundance of friends and family in the community it was logical that Dr. Awbrey opened his dental practice in Woodland Hills. Dr. Awbrey is dedicated to delivering high quality dentistry utilizing the latest sterile asepsis techniques while providing cutting edge dental education for all of his patients. His practice offers a wide array of state of the art dental services so most of your needs are met with one stop shopping at his dental office. The office offers an inviting atmosphere with wide open airy rooms with large bay windows looking out at garden views that provide a warm, calming and relaxing environment. Parking is conveniently ten steps away from the front door.
Dr. Awbrey has focused the attention of his practice on cosmetic dentistry utilizing da Vinci Dental Laboratories to provide the state of the art in porcelain veneers and all porcelain crowns and bridges. da Vinci Dental Laboratories is where Hollywood has their teeth done. Dr. Awbrey utilizes all porcelain E-Max onlays and crowns eliminating metal margins of traditional porcelain fussed to metal crowns. Dr. Awbrey also restores dental implants with porcelain abutments and crowns. Dr. Awbrey is meticulous in the tooth designs and color shade selections and when necessary sends his patients to the lab for custom shades.
Dr. Awbrey resides in Malibu with one son, Matthew, attending Malibu High School (varsity Golf, Varsity Surf Team, Junior Varsity Water Polo and Swim teams) and another son, Luke, an Eagle Scout, attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a major in Engineering. Dr. Awbrey’s wife Gigi has her teaching credential and her Masters in Learning Disabilities. Dr. Awbrey’s outside interests include scuba diving, back packing, sailing, snowboarding and travel. He is an Advanced Referee for Soccer and coached soccer and baseball for 10 years. He also is the Treasurer for the Malibu Yacht Club.
